Actress Natasha Fernandes spoke to news agency IANS on seeing Bhojpuri Chautal performance in Port of Spain by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, ‘Prime Minister inspires art, takes it forward and really shows interest in them. It matters a lot to Bhojpuri and any artist. This initiative will inspire artists to work.
On seeing the performance of Bhojpuri Chautal in Port of Spain by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, actress Akasha Vats said, ‘This is a big moment for us and the entire Bhojpuri industry. Many great people have come out from here and have achieved things beyond thinking. In most parts of India, people still believe that being Bihari means to be at the lowest position. But if our Prime Minister has heard our songs, then it means that he also understands the importance of being Bihari.
Efforts to promote Bhojpuri art
Indian filmmaker Sunil Darshan said, ‘It is a matter of pride for us that PM Modi took time out and is paying attention to Bhojpuri classical and traditional music singers. He is trying to promote his art and Modi ji deserves thanks for this. Singer Kumar Satyam said, ‘It is a matter of pride for Bhojpuri artists that the Prime Minister is listening to him. The history of Bhojpuri is rich, which includes veteran artists like beggar Thakur. I believe that it is a good fortune for the Prime Minister to experience this art too.
