India’s K-6 Hypersonic missile soon to be test it will be faster and more dangerous than Brahmos

K-6 Hypersonic Missile: India is now ready for another big strategic jump. Soon the country is going to conduct a sea test of the K-6 hypersonic missile for the first time. This high quality SLBM (Submarine-Lanched Ballistic Missile) has been developed by DRDO’s Hyderabad-based Advanced Naval Systems Lab (ANSL) which is considered to be the most deadly missile ever in terms of speed, range and stealth (secret).

S-5 getting ready for nuclear submarine

The K-6 missile is especially designed for India’s future S-5 class nuclear submarine which will be much larger and powerful than the current Arihant class submarines. This missile will be tested soon and with this India will be included in the list of select countries which have advanced capability to attack nuclear from the sea.

Hypersonic speed and tremendous firepower

The biggest strength of K-6 is its hypersonic speed. This missile can gain a speed of Mach 7.5 (about 9,200 km/h) during re-entry. Its range is about 8,000 kilometers, that is, it is capable of reaching deep parts of the enemy country in a few minutes. It is more powerful than India’s current K-4 (3,500 km) and K-5 (6,000 km) missiles.

What technique does it work

The K-6 missile uses MIRV (Multiple Independent Targetable Re-Entry Vehicle) technology that can make a single missile to penetrate many different goals simultaneously. This will lead to a significant increase in India’s strategic and defensive capabilities.

The secret speed and ability to change the direction of K-6 makes it extremely difficult to hold and stop it. It is almost impossible to stop it for traditional anti-mesile defense systems. This missile is capable of carrying normal and nuclear -type weapons, which makes India’s resistance strategy even more strong.

Technical features

Length: More than 12 meters

Diameter: More than 2 meters

Warhead: Both traditional and atoms

Capacity: More deadly than BrahMos and better in range

Till now only countries like America, Russia, China, France and Britain in the world have such mirv -containing hypersonic SLBM technology. India is also going to join this state-of-the-art club with K-6.
