Spam Calls: Almost every smartphone user in India has to face daily spam and telemarketing calls. These calls have now become so clever that they repeatedly change the number and escape from identity. But the good news is that in most Android smartphones, now the inbuilt facility is being given to block spam calls.
How to block spam calls in Samsung Galaxy smartphones?
Call blocking facility already exists in Samsung’s phone:
- Open phone app
- Tap on three dots on the top right
- Choose the option “Block Numbers”
- Turn on “Block Calls from Unknown Numbers”
- Also activate “Block Spam and Scam Calls”
- If you want, a number can also be blocked manually
Way to stop spam calls in OnePlus smartphones
Google’s Dialer app now comes in most OnePlus devices:
- Open phone app
- Tap on three dots> Go to Settings
- Tap on “Caller ID & Spam”
- Turn on the “Filter Spam Calls” option
How to stop spam calls in Oppo, Vivo, IQO and Realme phones?
Google dieler is also used in most phones of these brands. Steps are the same:
- Open phone app
- Go to settings
- Caller id & spam go to option
- Turn on “Filter Spam Calls”
Methods for Xiaomi and Poco smartphones
The devices that run on Hyperos or MIUI provide spam call blocking through inbuilt dialer:
- Open phone app
- Tap on the above three dots
- Go to Settings> Caller ID & Spam
- Turn on “Filter Spam Calls”
Other measures
If spam calls continue to come even after these settings, then resort to government tools:
- Activate DND (do not disturb) service
- Send SMS at 1909 from your mobile: Start 0
- Download TRAI DND app
- Download from Google Play Store
- Register your mobile number
- Turn on call-blocking option
