ChatGPT-5: OpenAI has introduced GPT-5 to make its famous chatbot chatgpt more powerful. This new version has come after about two years when GPT-4 created panic in the world of generative AI. The industry is closely monitoring this launch, to see if the progress of AI is going on at a high speed or is now slowing down. The GPT-5 has come amid the arrival of investment, discussion and debate on AI’s capabilities.
More flexibility for developers
GPT-5 is now available in three sizes for API users-GPT-5, GPT-5-Min and GPT-5-NANO. With this, developers can balance the performance, cost and speed according to their need and budget. OpenAI has made it clear that the GPT-5 in the Chatgpt has a combination of many types of reasoning and non-resoning models while the GPT-5 available on API is only a reasoning model that gives the highest performance in Chatgpt. Apart from this, the non-resoning model of Chatgpt is also available under the name GPT-5-CAT-Latest.
One step towards Agi
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman called it a “Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)”, calling GPT-5 a big improvement than the GPT-4. According to him, GPT-5 is the first model that is capable of answering PhD-level expert on any subject. He also emphasized on spreading this technique to the common people and for the first time included it in the free tier. The GPT-5 rollout has started for free, plus and pro users from August 7, while enterprise and education users will get access after a week.
Changes in GPT-4 to GPT-5
GPT-5 is far ahead of GPT-4 in intelligence and logic capacity. While GPT-4 was considered to be of “college level”, GPT-5 is underestimated “PhD level” which thinks deeply before replying and gives more reliable results. Its hallucination rate has already reduced considerably and is the strongest model ever in coding which specializes in front-end development, debugging and complex agent-based tasks. Along with this, the tool integration has now become automatic and new service connections like Gmail, Google Calendar are also connected. Users can now enjoy customization features like preset personality and chat color.
Big jump in Indian languages
GPT-5 has made major improvements in multilingual support, especially in more than 12 Indian languages. It considers and handles not only Hindi but also many regional languages, which is expected to increase further in India.
