Will this be the world’s thinnest phone? Details leaked before launch, know what will be special

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Samsung’s next flagship smartphone Galaxy S26 Edge is towards becoming the world’s thinnest phone. According to a report by Tipstter Ice Universe, this device will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge launched this year. The leak has also revealed that S26 Edge will not only give better performance but will also have a big battery. It is expected that the company will launch it early next year and it is possible that it is going to replace the Galaxy S26 Plus model exactly as Apple is going to do in its iPhone 17 series.

Very thin design and big battery

According to the leak, the thickness of the Galaxy S26 Edge will be just 5.5 mm, which is 5.8 mm less than the S25 Edge to 0.3 mm. If this is true, then it will become the world’s thinnest 5G phone so far. The phone is expected to get a 4,200mAh carbon-silicon battery which will be upgraded to the 3,900mAh battery of S25 Edge. Although there was also a discussion of 4,400mAh battery earlier, Samsung has not yet confirmed the official confirmation.

Performance and camera upgrade

A Samsung phone with the model number “SM-S947U” has been seen on Geekbench, which is being considered as Galaxy S26 Edge. According to the listing, it will have a new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. This processor will come with a base speed of 3.63GHz and will give speed up to 4.74GHz for the high-performance task, which will make multitasking and gaming even more smooth. There will also be a big change in the camera, the phone will have a 200MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens which is much better than this year’s 12MP ultra-wide camera.

High-speed ram and storage

The report states that the ULTRA and EDGE model of the Galaxy S26 series will have 10.7GBPS LPDDR5X RAM which will be the biggest performance upgrade so far. General RAM will be given in the base model. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge had a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB storage and Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Potential price

According to new reports, the price of Galaxy S26 Edge can be around 1 lakh rupees in India. With thin design, powerful processor, upgraded camera and large battery, this phone can set a new standard in the premium market.

iPhone 17 Air will compete

Apple’s next big smartphone lineup is about to come and a new leak has put many important information about the iPhone 17 Air. It is expected that it will be officially unveiled in the coming weeks. According to reports, this new Air model will replace the iPhone 16 Plus and will be the thinnest iPhone ever.

Tech Liksman Majin Bu has shared photos on X (first Twitter), which has allegedly shown screen protectors of all four models of the iPhone 17 series. According to these leaks, the iPhone 17 Air will get a 6.6 -inch display which will be 6.3 inches of iPhone 17 Pro and the iphone 17 Pro will be the size between 6.9 inch displays of Max.

This change is different from Apple’s normal strategy because the display size of the earlier standard and Pro models was the same while Plus and Pro Max used to come with big screens. This pattern changed in the iPhone 16 series, where the PRO models were thinner, their screen size increased.

Better option for mid-size users

If the leaks prove to be correct, the iPhone 17 Air will give a new mid-size option. It will be smaller than the last 6.7 -inch Plus model but larger than the 6.1 -inch iPhone 17. This can be right for users who consider Pro Max very big but want a big display than standard models.
