RATNAGIRI: A video of an eight-foot-long crocodile strolling on a rain-swept road in Maharashtra‘s Ratnagiri district has gone viral on social media platforms.
The video was taken by an autorickshaw driver amid steady rainfall in Chinchnaka area of Chiplun town. The crocodile likely ventured into the town from the nearby Shiv or Vashishti rivers, an official said.
Several vehicles can be seen in the video including an autorickshaw tailing the crocodile with its headlights on.
Onlookers also captured videos of the incident and shared them on social media.
“The incident happened Sunday night,” a local resident noted.
