Sad! Child actor Veer Sharma dies due to house fire, elder brother also died

New Delhi: Television actor Veer Sharma has died in an accident. He became famous by playing the role of Pushkal in Soni Sab’s show ‘Shrimad Ramayana’. He and his elder brother Shaurya Sharma died due to fire in a house on the morning of Sunday, 28 September in Kota, Rajasthan.

According to the police, when the fire broke out, both brothers were alone in the flat. His father Jitendra Sharma was involved in the Bhajan program, while his mother and actress Rita Sharma were in Mumbai at that time. The fire started in the drawing room of the fourth floor flat of Deepshree Building in Anantpura police station area. Kota Superintendent of Police (SP) Tejeshwani Gautam said that there is a suspicion of fire from short-circuit. When the incident happened, the children were sleeping. The fire did not spread in other rooms and it seems that they died due to smoke suffocation.

Neighbors set fire
Circle Inspector (CI) Bhupendra Singh said that neighbors saw smoke coming out of the flat and ran for help. He found the children unconscious by breaking the door. He said, “The children were rushed to the hospital immediately, but the doctors declared him dead.” According to the report of News-Patiala English, neighbors extinguished the fire using firefighting instruments present in the belding. No fire brigade vehicle was called, as the fire was soon controlled. The fire completely burnt the drawing room. Police handed over the bodies to the family after the mother returned from Mumbai. The family decided to donate the eyes of the children to an eye bank. An FIR has been lodged under Section 194 of the BNSS Act and investigation is underway to detect the exact cause of the fire and to confirm the deaths.
