Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has made a bang at the box office. According to reports, the film earned a net of about 60 crores on Opening Day. The Hindi version also performed brilliantly and overtook many big stars films.
Talking about Hindi belt only, according to the initial trends, the film earned Rs 19-21 crore on Opening Day. Excluding night shows, the Hindi version occupancy was around 28.78%.
Significantly, Kantara (2022) had an opening of only Rs 1.27 crore. At the same time, Kantara: Chapter 1 has registered a lead of more than 1400%. Now it will be interesting to see that in how many days this prequel breaks the record of lifetime of 81.1 crore.
War 2: Hrithik Roshan and NTR Junior starrer earned a total of Rs 52.5 crore in their early day, making it number one till now. But Kantara took this position from War 2 now.
Considered the most powerful and best film of Vicky Kaushal’s career so far, Chhava opened an account at the box office with Rs 33.10 crore on the first day of its release.
Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikander’, released this year, grossed about 30.06 crores on the first day.
