National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the schedule of JEE Main 2026 today, October 19. As per the notification, JEE Mains exam will be conducted in 2 phases. The first session will be held from January 21 to January 30, 2026. Whereas, the second session will be held between April 1 to April 10, 2026.
Applications will start from October itself The application process for the first session will start only in October 2025. Candidates NTA official website jeemain.nta.ac.in You will be able to register by going to. Whereas, the application window for the second session will open from the last week of January 2026.
Moreover, JEE Mains 2026 Phase I exam will be conducted between January 21 to 30, 2026, and Phase II exam will be conducted between April 1 to 10, 2026.
Exam centers will be increased
According to NTA notification, like every year, this year also the number of candidates will increase. Therefore, for the convenience of the candidates, the number of exam centers will be increased in the cities, so that the candidates can get the exam centers near their home as per their convenience.
Apart from this, better facilities will also be provided to disabled candidates by NTA.
Update certificate to avoid form rejection
NTA had issued a notification on September 29 asking to update the certificate. By doing this, aspirants can avoid form rejection later. In this there was talk of updating 3 documents-
- Aadhar card
- UDID card
- category certificate
Along with this, candidates should check the details of Aadhar card. Candidates’ name, date of birth, photo, address and father’s name on the Aadhar card should be correct. Also, date of birth should match with 10th mark sheet.
At the same time, persons with disability should ensure that their certificates are valid, updated and renewed as per requirement. Similarly, reserved category students should also check their certificates.
Last year more than 11 lakh students gave JEE Mains
A total of 12,31,874 students from across the country had registered for JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 Paper 1 BE and B Arch exam. Of these, 11,70,036 students had given the exam. This means that about 95.8% students took the exam.
