A two-day holiday has been declared for Dhala Chhath festival in Mau district. Speaking to Local 18, District Primary Education Officer Santosh Upadhyay said that this holiday is being declared on the instructions of the District Magistrate. Holidays are being declared on October 27 and 28 in all the schools of the entire district. All schools will remain closed on these days so that Dhala Chhath festival can be celebrated properly.

Preparations for this puja are made early in the morning and after reaching the ghats late in the evening, standing in the water, the sun god is worshipped.
