Team India star Karun Nair has expressed his anger at chief selector Ajit Agarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir after being dropped from the Test squad and India A team.
The Karnataka batsman returned to the longest format of the game after eight years in the India vs England series, but his performance fell short of expectations, leading to his elimination.
After scoring an unbeaten 174 against Karnataka vs Goa in the second round of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26, Nair said, “I am disappointed with my absence from the Indian team and I deserve better.”

According to a report, Karun Nair said he was disappointed with the national selectors after being dropped from the Test squad for the series against the West Indies. Nair had to work hard to get back into the Test team and has been consistent in domestic tournaments across all formats. The Karnataka batsman said the selectors may have their opinion, but I think I am much better.
