However, some people install a toilet seat in their bathroom. People often say that they will be coming from the bathroom even while urinating or defecating. This is incorrect. Washroom – It is mainly designed for urinating and defecating. Translated into Hindi, it means washing room, while bathroom means bathing room. It doesn’t have a shower or bathtub, but it does have a toilet, washbasin, mirror and some changing space. Nowadays, even in homes, people install only Indian and Western commodes to create separate bathrooms. Restroom – This is an American word. It also means washroom. You will find restrooms in malls and hotels. Some people think that restrooms are places where you can rest or lie down, but that is not the case at all. In America, people often refer to washrooms as restrooms. Now, even in India, you will see signs with the word “restroom” outside many malls and hotels.
Toilet – Every house or public place has a roadside toilet where you can only urinate or defecate. There is a basin for washing hands, although some don’t even have that. You cannot change clothes or bathe there. When you travel, similar toilets are set up on the road.
