4. FIDE World Chess Championship will now be named after Vishwanathan Anand
The new trophy of the FIDE World Chess Championship to be held in Panaji will now be named after five-time world champion Vishwanathan Anand.
This announcement was made at the trophy unveiling ceremony on 31 October.
- The event was attended by Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and FIDE chief Arkady Dvorkovich.

1. Video of teacher sleeping after drinking alcohol in school goes viral
At around 6 pm on Friday evening, a teacher in Hapon Ki Dhani village of Barmer, Rajasthan, reached school drunk after school and slept in the gallery.
According to the principal, the teacher had come to school in the morning also.
The villagers made a video and shared it on social media. After the incident the principal has sent the teacher on leave.
