A new study that came out recently has made a shocking revelation. According to this research, iPhone users receive more spam and fraud messages than Android users, which increases their risk of cyber attacks.
According to the report, Android users are attacked by 58% less spam messages, which means iPhone users have to face more phishing and fraud messages.
Surprising difference revealed in the survey
This study was done by Google and YouGov in many countries including India. 5,000 smartphone users from India and Brazil participated in it.
According to the report, many Android users claimed that they did not receive any scam messages while iPhone users received an average of 58% more fraud and phishing messages. iPhone owners included in the survey also said that they constantly receive fake links and fraudulent text messages which are becoming a major cause of online fraud.
There is a big difference in the security system
The study also found that this difference is due to the security and message filtering technology of both the platforms iOS and Android. The data shows that iPhone users receive up to 96% more scam messages while Android users receive the same proportion less spam messages.
Another report, which was conducted by Leviathan Security Group, compared the security of high-end phones like the iPhone 17, Google Pixel 10, Motorola Razr+, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. The result was that Google Pixel 10 Pro proved to be the most secure smartphone of this year as it offers the best scam and fraud protection by default.
AI becomes Android’s biggest weapon
According to Google, AI based fraud is increasing rapidly worldwide and it is causing a loss of more than $400 billion every year.
To deal with this threat, Android has deeply integrated AI technology into its system which blocks more than 10 billion spam calls and messages every month.
According to the report, this is the reason why Google Pixel 10 series is currently considered to be the most secure and smartphone user-friendly device.
