However, many people wonder if jaggery can be consumed when having a cough. Famous Ayurvedic doctor Robin Sharma has shared a video on his YouTube channel. In this video, he explains that jaggery can be very beneficial for colds and coughs. When consumed properly, jaggery can also help clear mucus buildup in the throat.
You can make a decoction of jaggery and drink it. Dr. According to Sharma, if you suffer from cough, sore throat, phlegm, or frequent colds, this jaggery decoction can provide considerable relief.

- 1/4 inch ginger,
- 4-5 black peppercorns
- 5-7 basil leaves are required.
How to make black?
- To prepare it, first take a small piece of jaggery and grind it lightly.
- Next, grind together about 1/4 inch of ginger, 4-5 black peppercorns, and 5-7 basil leaves.
- Add all the ingredients to jaggery and mix well.
- Now, put all these ingredients in a glass of water and boil it.
