Wrong Food Combinations: According to Ayurveda, wrong food combinations, or virudhahara, weaken the digestive system and cause problems like lethargy, gas, stomach pain and heaviness. Milk should not be taken with sour fruits, salty food, fish, spicy things and foods like onion-garlic. On the other hand, fried foods, pickles, beans, rice and fish should not be eaten with curd. This can weaken the digestive system and cause many problems.
Worst Milk and Curd Combinations: For most people, taste is most important, and they tend to eat too many things at once. According to Ayurveda, proper combination of food is very important. If some things are eaten together, it can have a bad effect on the body and cause health problems. Sometimes we don’t realize that whatever we are eating can be an antidote i.e. wrong food combination. According to Ayurveda, all these antagonistic foods weaken the body’s digestive system and cause sluggishness. Some foods should not be eaten with milk and curd at all.
According to Ayurveda experts, eating the wrong food combination can lead to stomach problems. If this is done for a long time, it can cause serious health problems. In Ayurveda, it is said that eating an anti-virudha diet leads to an imbalance of vata, pitta and kapha in the body. Milk is an important part of our diet. Milk should not be consumed with sour fruits. Citrus fruits contain acid, and milk contains calcium and protein. Together, these can cause stomach pain or gas. Milk should not be consumed with fish, mint, salty food, spicy food, fried food, garlic, onion and jackfruit. It can be harmful to health.
Some people have a habit of drinking milk with dinner. According to Ayurveda, this practice is wrong. Milk should always be consumed one hour before bedtime, and dinner should be eaten 2-3 hours before. Talking about curd, avoid fried food with it. Doing so can cause sluggishness and heaviness in the stomach. Eating fish with curd weakens the digestive power of the stomach. Eating rice with curd can make the body feel heavy. Eating beans with yogurt can cause gas, and sour pickles with yogurt can slow digestion. Heating curd is also harmful.
When it comes to cold and hot food, eating paratha with cold drink is considered as poisoning. This food mixture increases toxicity in the stomach. Eating ice cream with food also worsens digestion. Consuming cold drinks with junk food can make you sleepy. Eating cold and sweet foods after lunch can increase drowsiness and induce sleep. These dangerous combinations weaken the body’s digestive power and cause constipation. Eat light and bland food as much as possible. While consuming yogurt and milk, be careful not to mix them with sour or spicy foods.
