An achanal cylinder exploded in a tea pit outside a private hospital on Jarnaeli road here, causing the roof of the pit to fly off and fall a considerable distance. In this accident, three persons, including a child standing nearby, were saved, but the hollow and the goods in it were largely damaged. The owner of the pit, Jia Lal, said that he had gone to give tea to the patients inside the hospital, while his wife had turned on the switch of the small cylinder to heat the gas frozen in the big gas cylinder due to cold, but later the cylinder burst. There was no casualty in the blast. On the other hand, when I spoke to the shopkeeper who fills gas in a small gas cylinder nearby, he said that he fills the cylinder for small jobs. AFSO Amarjit Singh said that the department periodically checks the city so that domestic gas cylinders cannot be used for commercial purposes. This accident has come to their attention and they will send a team to investigate it. In the future, the duty of the teams will be increased and there will be a check to ensure that domestic gas cylinders are not used remotely in the future.
