The International Cricket Council (International Cricket Council) has decided to install the intellectual property of the Pakistan Cricket Board (Pakistan Cricket Board). BCCI has got the green signal from all the countries playing the tournament including ICC to conduct the Champions Trophy (Championship Trophy) in the hybrid model. The ICC has taken a tough stance on the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) stance on organizing the Champions Trophy. The board has said that they should be prepared to either adopt a hybrid model or withdraw from this competition.
PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) clearly refused to host the Champions Trophy (Championship Trophy) according to the hybrid model in the emergency meeting of the ICC Executive Board in Dubai on Friday. The purpose of the emergency meeting was to decide the outline of the program in February-March next year. Despite India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan due to security concerns, the PCB has once again rejected the ‘hybrid’ model. After which no consensus could be reached.
It is understood that most of the members of the ICC Board were sympathetic to Pakistan’s situation. PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) chief Mohsin Naqvi was nevertheless advised to consider the hybrid model as the only solution to the ongoing dispute. If the hybrid model is adopted, India will play its Champions Trophy final in the UAE.
A source in the ICC Board said that no broadcaster will pay for any ICC tournament that does not include India. Pakistan knows this very well. The ICC meeting will be held on Saturday only after Pakistan agrees on the hybrid model. If Pakistan does not accept the hybrid model, then the Champions Trophy can be organized in another country. Pakistan will not join it.
