Mohali Municipal Corporation has started the work of repairing the city roads and making them better and stronger by adding premix. Commissioner T. Benith today made a surprise visit to various roads in the city to inspect the ongoing road works and collect samples for quality inspection. He said that the corporation team has filled the samples of Sector-67 market and Sector-66-B road (in front of old Sohana Police Station) and Phase-11 (Ward No.-21) roads, which have been sent for investigation. is
However, Corporation Commissioner T Benith said that this is a routine operation and the ongoing works will be similarly checked from time to time. He gave instructions to the officials of the municipal corporation present on the occasion to ensure that the repair of roads in the city, putting premix and other works are done as per the rules. The Commissioner also clarified that if the samples fail during the inspection of the road material, then appropriate action will be taken against the responsible contractor as per rules. On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Chief Engineer Naresh Bata, Axion Kamaldeep Singh, SDO Dharmendra and other officials were present.
