A special event is being organized by Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan New Delhi on the occasion of Bhai Vir Singh’s 152nd birth anniversary. In this, after the enjoyment of Sri Sahaj Path, the family of Bhai Rupa village will have darshan of the holy signs of Guru Sahibs from 10 am to 12 pm. It is to be noted that in this special exhibition to be held in the lawn of the House, the rare signs of Bakhshian Gurus will be decorated to the family of Bhai Roop Chand. These signs have been preserved by his descendants in his native village Bhai Rupa, Bathinda. Bhai Roop Chand was born with the blessings of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and was also named by Guru Ji.
Bhai Roop Chand dedicated his life to the service of the Gurus. His family was engaged in the service of the Gurus since the time of Guru Ramdas Ji. Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Bibi Jito nala Anand Karja ceremony was also performed by Bhai Roopa Ji and now Gurdwara Guru Ka Lahore is built at that place. Bhai Rupa’s entire family was baptized by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The holy signs will be decorated in a special palanquin and kept for darshan in Nagar Kirtan by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Committee on December 6.
