Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the Central government over the issue of American prosecutors linking Gautam Adani to the alleged bribery case, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot get Adani investigated because if he does so If they do, they will do their own investigation because ‘Modi Aur Adani Ek Hai’.
“There are not two, there is one,” Rahul Gandhi said as he joined opposition MPs in protest. Opposition MPs wore jackets symbolizing their protest over the Adani issue, which read: “Modi Adani Ek Hai, Adani Safe.” Congress MP Gurjit Singh Aujla said, “The character and global reputation of Indian businessmen has come into question. The entire country has banned him because he is involved in corruption. The Prime Minister should respond and constitute the JPC.
Meanwhile, Congress leader and Wayanad Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi was also seen standing during the demonstration of the opposition. Opposition leaders including Gaurav Gogoi and Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal were seen wearing jackets. The proceedings of the Parliament have been stalled since the beginning of the winter session due to opposition parties. The proceedings of both the Houses were adjourned due to commotion in the winter session which started on November 25 over the Adani issue and violence in Manipur and Sambhal. ANI
