Arrested accused and police team
Four operatives of Bambiha gang were arrested during a joint operation by the police and counter intelligence of Muktsar, Punjab. A pistol of 30 bore, 4 live rounds and a country-made pistol have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Giving information in this regard, SP (D) Manmeet Singh Dhillon said that this action was taken by the police and counter intelligence team under the leadership of AIG Avneet Kaur Sidhu (Counter Intelligence, Bathinda Zone), DSP Investigation Ramanpreet Singh Gill. He told that during the search last day, based on a suspicious information, Police Station City Muktsar arrested Gurjeevan Singh alias Jeevan, Maninder Singh alias Mani, and Surinder Singh during the action.

Illegal weapon cartridges and 2 mobile phones were recovered from the accused. During interrogation, the accused revealed that on the night of 29-30 November, they had opened fire at a house in Patiala on the instructions of their associate Sukhpreet Singh alias Shappy. SP Manmeet Singh Dhillon said that with the help of technical and human intelligence, the police arrested the main accused Sukhpreet Singh alias Shappy from Pyori railway gate of Giddarbaha. A country-made pistol and mobile phone were recovered from him.
During interrogation, Sukhpreet revealed that the firing in Patiala was done at the behest of Jas Behbal Kalan, who was living abroad. SP said that cases of murder and assault are already registered against Sukhpreet Singh alias Sheppy. Police remand has been taken after presenting the accused in the court and further investigation is being done. Police hope that the investigation will also reveal other criminal activities.
