Jaishankar: India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today insisted that he has no plans to bring in the BRICS currency. Referring to US President-elect Donald Trump’s threats to impose a 100 per cent tax, Jaishankar said, “I am not sure what the reason was but India never had any plans to find a substitute for the dollar.” He said that BRICS countries have different opinions on this issue. Jaishankar said, ‘Every country has its own interests. They agree with other countries on some matters and disagree on many matters.
