Police has arrested a drug smuggler in Faridkot. 15 thousand intoxicating pills have been recovered from him. The accused is being questioned by the police.

DSP Shamsher Singh Shergil said that during patrolling, the police team caught a youth riding an Activa standing with a plastic bundle near the bus stand shed of village Kaler on National Highway-54.
Who was identified as Taranjit Singh alias Taran, resident of village Dhudkot. On suspicion of drug addiction in the packet, DSP Shamsher Singh reached the spot to investigate and after searching the packet, 15 thousand intoxicating pills were recovered from it.
In this case, a case has been registered against the accused under NDPS Act in Sadar Faridkot police station. The accused will be produced in the court and remand will be taken and his backward and forward links will be investigated.
