Targeting the government over its statement in Parliament on India-China relations, the Congress today demanded that Parliament should be given an opportunity to discuss the overall state of relations between the two countries.

At the same time, the Congress questioned whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government had agreed on a ‘new normalcy’ in place of the ‘old normalcy’ before April 2020.

Congress General Secretary (Communications Incharge) Jairam Ramesh said that the discussion in Parliament on India-China relations should focus on both strategic and economic policy, especially since the country’s dependence on China is economic. while he unilaterally changed the status quo on our borders four years ago.

In a statement, Ramesh said that the Congress has studied the statement given by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar titled ‘Recent Developments in India’s Relations with China’ in both the Houses of Parliament. -News-Patiala
