Russian state news agencies reported drone strikes on at least six high-rise towers in the city of Kazan, about 500 miles (800 km) east of Moscow. TASS agency said that eight drone attacks have been reported, of which six were on the society’s towers. According to media reports, a building on Kamalyaeva Avenue (two drones), Klara Setkin Street, Yutazinskaya Street, Khadi Taktash Street, Krasnaya Positiya and Orenburgsky Tract were hit by drone strikes.

News agencies reported the attack citing local officials. It is being told that there is no news of any loss of life in the attack. A Telegram channel close to Russia’s security services shared the video footage. It shows an aerial object crashing into a tall building, causing a large fireball to shoot out. The airport in Izhevsk, a small town northeast of Kazan, is also said to be temporarily banned.
Blame it on Ukraine
The Russian government has accused Ukraine of being behind the drone attack. After the attack, authorities in Kazan launched emergency response efforts and evacuated residents from affected buildings.
