According to the list of holidays issued by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, there will be a holiday in all government schools, colleges and government offices on the occasion of Jagadatri Puja on October 31. During this time, students will celebrate the festival with their families and will also have time to rest. This opportunity will also be suitable for spending time with family or visiting nearby places, so that children can feel a bit refreshed in between studies.
Official holiday by Punjab government on 5th November
There, the Punjab government has declared November 5 as an official holiday. Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji is being celebrated on November 5, due to which school-colleges and offices will have a holiday on this day. Apart from this, Kartar Singh Sarabha’s Martyrdom Day will be celebrated on November 16 and Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Martyrdom Day on November 25, due to which the government has declared an official holiday.

According to Sanatan Panchang, Maa Jagadatri is worshiped every year on Kartik Shukal Navami. In the year 2025, this day is coming on Friday, October 31. This festival is celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm like Durga Puja in many parts of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Maa Jagadatri is considered to be a form of Goddess Durga.
