A private company bus hired for a wedding function caught fire in south-east Delhi’s Jaitpur area here today. The police officials informed that there was no one in the bus at the time of the incident. Seeing smoke coming out of the engine, the driver immediately got out of the bus. Due to this incident, no loss of life was avoided. A senior official of the Delhi Fire Department said that the fire was reported in the bus from School Chowk at 8:10 this morning. As soon as information was received, two fire tenders were dispatched to the spot. The official said that the fire on the bus was brought under control within an hour. The police are expressing fear of fire in the bus due to short circuit. The police has started action in this regard. -News-Patiala
