Jeevanjot Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Sahnewal’s annual honor function and poet’s court was organized. Eminent storyteller Surinder Deep was honored on this occasion. Dr. in the chairmanship of the event. Gurwinder Singh Aman, Surinder Kaur Bara, Mahant Harpal Das, Harpreet Singh Dhanjal and Jitinder Kaur Sandhu were present.
President of the Sabha Jatinder Kaur Sandhu said that the Sabha honors the writers after seeing their literary contribution and that this is the second annual honoring event. This time we are proud to honor storyteller Surinder Deep Kaur, ghazalgo Rajdeep Singh Toor and Dalbir Singh Keller.
Eminent lyricist Parminder Singh Albela read the eulogy about Surinder Deep. General Secretary of the Sabha Gursevak Singh Dhillon said that Surinder Deep is in charge of Punjabi Sahitya Akademi, Ludhiana office. Singer and writer Surinder Kaur Bara said that Surinder Deep is a good storyteller and a very good person. Surinder Deep thanked the organizers of the meeting. On the occasion of the event, a poet’s court was organized for the poets present. On this occasion K. Sadhu Singh, Rajinder Singh, Malkit Singh Dakha, Harbans Singh Rai, Netar Singh Mutto, Amarjit Singh Sherpuri, Paramjit Kaur Mehek, Sukhwinder Anhad, Hira Singh Tut, Amandeep Singh Dardi, Balwinder Kaur, Geet Gurjit, Jagdev Maksudra, Sunita Bhaiya and many others. Writers and listeners were present in the number.
