The Aam Aadmi Party has won a landslide victory in the election of the newly formed Nagar Panchayat in Gharun village under Kharar Tehsil. In the election held here, Aam Aadmi Party candidates have won in 10 of the total 11 wards, while one independent candidate has won. The Congress party had fielded a total of 11 candidates who have faced defeat.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Chamkaur Sahib Constituency Dr. Charanjit Singh’s political secretary Jagtar Singh says that the independent candidate is also his enabler. This victory is due to the policies of the current Chief Minister and the support given by the people who are happy with the Aam Aadmi Party. On this occasion Channi’s Political Secretary Jagtar Singh Gharun informed that Mandeep Kaur from Ward No. 1, Amritpal Singh from Ward No. 2, Jaswinder Kaur from Ward No. 3, Harpreet Kaur from Ward No. 4, Riya from Ward No. 5, Ward No. Manpreet Singh from 6, Jaswinder Kaur from Ward No. 7, Narendra Singh from Ward No. 8 and Sukhjit Kaur from Ward No. 9, Ward No. Gagandeep Singh Azad won from 10, Inderjit Singh won from Ward No. 11.
