Yuvraj Singh had previously scored a 29-ball half-century during the India–Pakistan T20I match played in Ahmedabad on 28 December 2012, which was the fastest fifty by an Indian against Pakistan in the format. He hit his 50th six in T20 Internationals off the 331st ball and also became the first Indian batsman to hit a six off the first ball of an innings twice.
