New DelhiAbhinav Kashyap, director of Salman Khan’s film ‘Dabangg’, never fails to target the superstar. He often makes many claims about Salman. Now he has accused Salman Khan of cutting the roles of actors.
Abhinav Kashyap is brother of Anurag Kashyap
Abhinav Kashyap has made many claims about Salman Khan in a recent interview given to ‘Bollywood Thikana’. He told, ‘Dabangg was a 2.45 hour film, but Salman forced me to reduce the film to 2 hours 20 minutes. The real thing was that Salman’s problem was not with the length of the film, but with giving more scenes in the film to other people. He even cut the role of Arbad Khan, whereas Mahi was the second lead in the film. But Salman got his scene cut and his career was ruined.
Om Puri was insulted on the set
Putting forward his point, he said, ‘Om Puri Saheb had only 5-6 scenes in the film. He had agreed to do such a small role because his role was small but good. But there too Salman messed up. He had to touch the actor’s feet in a scene. But he refused to touch Om Puri’s feet. Salman is very arrogant. He clearly refused to touch the actor’s feet. Later that scene was shot according to him.
Let us tell you that while putting forward his point, Abhinav told that once he had told Salman that Allah has given you so much, then why do you snatch everyone’s role? At that time Salman just sat silently. He further told that when Om Puri ji was offered a role in the film, he refused to do it. Then Salman said to him in a slightly harsh tone, if you don’t want to do it then don’t do it, go do something else, Om Puri ji got angry with this.
