Virat Kohli-Rishabh Pant Ranji Trophy: Indian cricketers have got such a shock on the tour of Australia that they are all seen playing in Ranji matches one by one. After Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, now Rishabh Pant has declared himself available for the Ranji Trophy. Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Secretary Ashok Sharma said that Rishabh Pant will play in Delhi’s Ranji match against Saurashtra. This match will be played in Rajkot from January 23.
Rishabh Pant last represented Delhi in the Ranji Trophy in the 2017-2018 season. Virat Kohli (VIRAT KOHLI) has also been included in the potential players of Delhi. It is not yet confirmed whether Kohli will play or not. If Kohli plays against Saurashtra, it will be the first time he will play a Ranji match with Rishabh Pant. Kohli played his last Ranji match in 2012.
DDCA Secretary Ashok Sharma said on Tuesday, ‘Yes, Rishabh Pant has confirmed his availability for the next Ranji match and will join the team directly in Rajkot.’ We want Virat Kohli to play as well. We have not received their reply. Harshit Rana has been selected in the Indian T20 squad, so he will not be available.
Delhi have two matches to play in the Ranji League stage. The Delhi team is fourth in the points table with 14 points from five matches in Group D. Shubman Gill and Yashshwi Jaiswal are also expected to play for their respective state teams. Rohit Sharma appeared with the Mumbai team on Tuesday. He has started training with his Ranji teammates.
