New Delhi: A lot happened on the field between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match in Dubai on Sunday. The Indian team defeated the Pakistani team for the second consecutive time in the tournament. Pakistan tried their best to trouble the Indian players, but they got a strong response.
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf made some provocative gestures while fielding near the boundary and there were also scuffles with Indian players Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. Batting first, Pakistan scored 171 for 5. India achieved the target of victory in 18.5 balls for the loss of 4 wickets.
During the match, Pakistani players made unsuccessful attempts to provoke Team India. Abhishek and Shubman laid a solid foundation for the team’s 6-wicket victory. After the match, Gill shared a 4-word post on X (formerly Twitter), in which he said that the Indian team responds to words with the bat. “The game speaks, not the words,” Gill wrote on X and also shared some pictures from the match.

Gill and Abhishek added 105 runs for the first wicket. Abhishek scored 74 runs off 39 balls, while Gill added 47 runs off 28 balls. Abhishek Sharma also criticized Pakistan’s batting, but India decided to respond with batting. Abhishek said after the match, “I didn’t like the way they (Pakistani bowlers) were coming at us today for no reason. So I decided to go against them. I wanted to perform for the team.”
When is India’s next match?
After defeating Pakistan in the first match of the Asia Cup Super 4, India will now face Bangladesh. Team India will face Bangladesh on September 24 and then Sri Lanka in Dubai on September 26. After all the Super 4 matches, the top two teams will advance to the finals.
