The Chinese Defense Ministry today said that the agreement between the Indian and Chinese armies to end the conflict in eastern Ladakh is being implemented comprehensively and adequately.
Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Defense, made this comment in response to a question asked by the media about the special representative talks held on December 18.
He said that there is continuous progress in the implementation of the agreement. He said that based on the consensus reached after the talks between the leaders of the two countries, India and China contributed to smoothen the situation on the border through diplomatic and military level talks.
Colonel Zhang said that bringing the relations between India and China back on track is in the interest of both the countries and their people. He said that the Chinese Army is ready to work together with India for permanent peace in the border areas. -News-Patiala
