A two-day exhibition under the name ‘Alam-e-Nanak’ started at the Guru Ram Das Akademi here. In this exhibition, the exhibition based on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev remained the center of attraction for all. This exhibition was inaugurated by Shahi Imam of Punjab Muhammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Jasdev Sekhon, Prof. Sarabjit Singh Renuka, Manit Dewan and Alex P Sunil jointly. Swaranjit Swai, president of Punjab Kala Parishad, Jaswant Zafar, director of Punjab Language Department, eminent scholar Amarjit Grewal and Sahitya Akademi prize winner Prof. Bhupinder Aziz arrived with his family.
In this two-day exhibition, the journeys of Guru Nanak Dev to the Vein River, the steps of Haridwar, the Aarti of the Jagannath Temple in Puri and places like Mecca were eloquently shown. On this occasion, the exhibition of the old market of Kashi and the old food also captivated everyone. While the 2600 year old coins, 400 year old scriptures, costumes took the viewer back in time, the performance of harp, saranda and tanpura mesmerized everyone in this exhibition. In this exhibition, the painting of Guru Nanak Dev by Swaranjit Svi and the calligraphy of Live Gurbani by Devinder Nagi left a distinct impression. Director Gurshminder Singh Jagpal said that the ‘Alam-e-Nanak’ exhibition is based on the spirituality of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his journeys. This event, which started today, is not just an exhibition but an inspiration to adopt the life test mentioned by Guru Nanak. He said that this exhibition will run till December 8. B
