Weather Update: The weather is constantly changing all over the country. Due to the cold, the condition of the people in the plains is bad. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert. Along with this, the effect of dense fog is also being seen in many plain states.
The Meteorological Department has issued severe frost warning in Delhi-NCR with dense fog in the morning and night. The minimum temperature in Delhi fell below 7 degrees on Saturday morning. There is a dense fog alert in Delhi on Sunday. Heavy rain has been predicted in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on December 26 after Christmas.
The cold will increase further in Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department said that apart from Delhi NCR, plains states, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh will also be covered with fog on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Delhi can be 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 7 degrees. There will be light to moderate fog between December 23 and 26. Rain is likely on December 26 and 27.
Temperature in the next 24 hours
The Meteorological Department said that there is no significant change in the minimum temperature over northwest and central India during the next 24 hours, after which there will be an increase of 2-3 degree Celsius. No significant change in minimum temperature is likely to occur over West and East India (except Gujarat state) during the next 4-5 days.
The Meteorological Department said that cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely to occur in some parts of Himachal Pradesh during December 21 to 23. There is a possibility of cold wave in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh from December 21 to 23 and in Punjab and Rajasthan from December 22 to 23.
Low pressure in Bay of Bengal has affected many districts including South Kolkata. There are clouds in the sky since Friday morning in the districts of South Bengal. It has been raining intermittently since Friday.
