The weather department has issued a cold wave alert till December 14. With this. A yellow alert has been issued in 17 districts of Punjab due to bitter cold.
The districts in which the alert has been issued include Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Bathinda, Mansa, Sangrur, Rupnagar and Mohali is included. Currently there is no rain alert in these districts and the weather will remain dry here.
It is to be noted that during the last 24 hours, an increase of 0.4 degrees in the average maximum temperature of Punjab and 0.3 degrees in the temperature of Chandigarh has been recorded. However, it is 3 degrees less than the normal in the state. The highest temperature has been recorded in Anandpur Sahib at 22.2 degrees. The temperature of all the other districts is lower than this. People are facing great difficulties in the morning and evening.
