According to the time of the meeting held by the Democratic Teachers Front yesterday for the sake of the struggle in Sunam, under the leadership of the state president Vikram Dev Singh, a meeting was held at Kisan Bhavan in Chandigarh with Cabinet Minister and Punjab Aam Aadmi Party President Aman Arora.
In the meeting, the teachers were informed about the anti-teacher decisions taken by the education department and demanded to withdraw such decisions and a demand letter was also handed over. The leaders of the front said that the letter issued by the Director of School Education (Secondary) regarding the reduction and recovery of the salaries of News-Patiala and Art and Craft teachers from the year 2012 has been assured by Aman Arora to stop immediately. In this regard, Mr. Arora spoke to Education Minister Harjot Bains on the phone and instructed him to resolve the issue. Apart from this, Mr. Arora assured the organization that in the near future, the officials of the education and finance department will meet with the DTF to resolve this issue permanently.
