New Delhi, December 18
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that the country will not tolerate disrespect to Babasaheb Ambedkar. He demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah apologize for his comments in the Rajya Sabha. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi along with many MPs of the India Alliance protested in the parliamentary premises demanding an apology from Shah.
Sharing pictures of the protest, Gandhi said in a Facebook post written in Hindi, “Baba Sahib is the creator of the Constitution, a great person who gave direction to the country. The country will not tolerate disrespect to them or to the constitution made by them. The Home Minister should apologise.”
By taking the name of Ambedkar ji one gets rights.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also shared pictures of the demonstration on X. Priyanka said on X, “Taking the name of Ambedkar ji gives rights. Taking the name of Ambedkar ji is a symbol of human pride. Ambedkar’s name is a symbol of self-esteem of crores of Dalits and the underprivileged.” Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also shared the video of Shah’s speech in the Upper House on X. -News-Patiala
