Accused caught with heroin worth Rs 28 crore
Amritsar Dehat Police has arrested three accused and recovered heroin worth Rs 28 crore. A pistol has also been recovered from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is being done.

On the instructions of DIG Border Range Satinder Singh and SSP Charanjit Singh, under the supervision of senior police officers Amritsar Rural Harinder Singh Gill and Lakhwinder Singh DSP Sub-Division Attari, taking action to maintain peace in the area, police station Gharinda conducted anti-drug campaign. Under the ongoing operation, heroin worth crores has been recovered from three accused. The accused were present near Canal Hardo Ratan and were going to supply 4 kg heroin.
The accused have been identified as Lovepreet Singh alias Luv resident of Bachi Wind, Shabba Singh resident of Chak Dogra and Sukhdev Singh Nika resident of Chak Dogra.
A case has been registered against the accused by Gharand police station. The pistol caught from the accused has also been confiscated. The police are conducting a thorough investigation of the forward and backward links to unearth the extensive network involved in this illegal trade and any other person involved in it. The police is also investigating the property acquired from the black money of the accused and if any such property is found, it will be frozen.
