Police taking away Narayan Singh Chauda

Narayan Singh Chaudhary, the accused who opened fire on former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, was presented in the court today. From where he got additional remand of three days. Police today brought Narayan Singh Chaudhary, who attacked former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, to Amritsar court. After listening to the arguments of both the parties, the remand of Narayan Singh Chaudhary for 3 days has been extended further. Chauda was produced in Amritsar court after the attack on December 4. From where he was given remand for 3 days. The remand period ended on 9 December. After which he was again presented in the court today. The court has given additional remand of three days.

SGPC is not cooperating: Police

Today, during the appearance in the court, the police said that SGPC is not cooperating with them. Police said in the court that DVR is being demanded from SGPC, but it has not been received yet. Demand for CCTV has also been placed through the police court. SGPC has not provided any CCTV from 2nd to 4th. After hearing both the sides, only three days’ remand has been given.

According to Narayan Singh Chauda’s lawyer Advocate Jagdeep Singh Bajwa, today the police has presented the locations, call details and digital records in the court, whereas according to the defense lawyer, he lives in the border area only.

His home is also Dera Baba Nanak and he has been visiting different places on his death anniversary. He said that the police has obtained remand by giving details of meeting of different people in Parikrama today, whereas on that day he had met SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami. It is surprising why SGPC is not providing that CCTV. He said why SGPC, Akali Dal and Bikram Singh Majithia are not releasing CCTV.

Chauda’s two sons are lawyers

He said that the police is only increasing the count of culprits. Narayan Singh has met many people and that means everyone is guilty. He said that this case does not belong to 109 BNS and it is a common case. In this case, the police had also interrogated Narayan Singh Chaudhary’s two sons, Jagjit Singh Bajwa and Baljinder Singh Bajwa.

It is noteworthy that both the sons of Narayan Singh Chaudhary are lawyers by profession and the application was also moved in favor of Narayan Singh Chaudhary on behalf of both of them. On this occasion, ACP Central told that he has got a remand of three days. Investigation is going on. SGPC is giving full cooperation and CCTV has also been ordered.
