Governor Gulab Chand Kataria reached Amritsar.
Amritsar Governor Gulab Chand Kataria launched the Nasha Mukt-Rangla Punjab campaign. He said that women are the backbone of every household and play an important role in de-addiction campaign. Women have reduced 80% of drug addiction problems.

A major highlight of the campaign is the ‘People’s March against Drugs’, organized in partnership with the Red Cross Society. Which is being led by social worker and writer Khushwant Singh.
The padyatra will start from Beas village, home of legendary sprinter Sardar Fauja Singh, on December 10 and will end at Bathe village in Jalandhar district by evening. On December 11, participants will march from Bathe to the Jang-e-Azadi Memorial in Kartarpur and spread the message of unity in the fight against drugs.

The Governor said that women are the backbone of every household and their active participation can significantly impact the fight against drug addiction. By fostering open communication and trust with their children, women can guide them toward healthy choices.
The Governor cited the root causes of drug addiction as including the stress of unemployment, academic failures and emotional challenges faced by teenagers. He urged parents to build strong relationships with their children and maintain open communication.
