52-year-old swimmer Shyamala Goli of Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh has created history on January 4. Shyamala covered a distance of 150 km in the open sea from Visakhapatnam to Kakinada. This trip lasted about five days. Shyamala Goli completed the 150 km sea journey from Visakhapatnam to Kakinada by swimming about 30 km every day.
His achievement is an inspiration to people of all ages who want to make history in swimming. Shyamala Goli traveled from Vizag to Kakinada under the supervision of the Coromandel Odyssey Ocean Swimming Organization. There were 14 crew members with the gun. This included medical staff and scuba divers. The team provided them with the necessary security and necessary support.
Shyamala Goli hails from Samralkota village of Kakinada district. This was not the first time Shyamala set an example of hard work. In the year 2021, a 52-year-old swimmer from Kakinada swam across the Palak Strait. While in February of the same year, she became the only woman to achieve the double feat by swimming around the island of Lakshadweep.
