1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on a three -day visit to London in April

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be on a three-day visit to London from 8-10 April. During this period, issues related to the proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and bilateral investment treaty are expected to be discussed between India and Britain. Sitharaman will participate in several meetings including the Indo-United Kingdom Economic and Financial Dialogue in London.

On 24 February, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Britain’s trade and business secretary Jonathan Rrenalds announced the resumption of negotiations for the proposed FTA between the two countries. The talks started on 13 January 2022, now it is starting again after about 8 months.

Sitharaman will participate in several meetings including the Indo-United Kingdom Economic and Financial Dialogue in London.

2. American company approval for joint nuclear power plant design in India

The US Energy Department (DOE) has jointly approved the American company for nuclear power plant design and construction in India. There was a civil nuclear deal between India and the US in 2007, under which this approval has been given on 26 March i.e. Wednesday.

Until now, American companies could export nuclear reactors and equipment to India under the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Agreement, but there was a ban on any design work or manufacturing of nuclear equipment in India.

India was constantly emphasizing that the reactors’ design, manufacturing and technology transfer should be done in the country itself.

1. IBPS Clerk, PO and SO 2025 results released The Institute of Banking Personal Selection has released the final result of IBPS Clerk 2024, Provisional Officer (PO) and Specialist Officer (SO) 2025 on 1 April today. Candidates can check the result by visiting the official website ibps.in.

On 13 October 2024, Clerk Mains was examined.

6,148 posts of clerk will be filled in this recruitment process. IBPS PO 2025 interviews took place from 11 to 18 February. It will be recruited for 6,344 posts. The final result of IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) has also been released, in which 2973 posts will be recruited. 15,465 posts will be filled for different posts from IBPS.

2. New Date of 12th Business Studies Paper announced in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education i.e. RBSE has announced a new date of Class 12 Business Studies Paper. Now this paper will be from 8:30 am to 11:45 am on 9 April. This exam will be held at the first exam center where the examination was held.

In fact, on March 22, the business study was examined and the paper was like last year’s paper, due to which the board canceled the paper.

The board canceled the examination after finding out that the paper of business studies was similar to the paper used last year. The examination was attended by about 30,000 commerce stream students, which was earlier held on 22 March.

Board officials said that the examination was announced to cancel the examination after receiving complaints about the question paper on its helpline number.
