Appreciation of five panchayats of Punjab

Five Gram Panchayats of Punjab have been felicitated at the National Panchayat Award ceremony for their better performance. Of course, these panchayats have missed out on the national award, but the Union Panchayat Ministry has appreciated the development work of these panchayats.

The panchayat of village Ballho of Bathinda district has secured a good position in the merit list of the states organized by the Central Panchayat Ministry. Five panchayats of Punjab were invited for the national panchayat award ceremony held in Delhi recently. Sarpanch of village Ballho Amarjit Kaur participated in the Delhi ceremony. Five Sarpanchs from Punjab and five related videos also joined them. The Union Panchayat Minister applauded these Sarpanches for their good work. Video Paramjit Singh Bhullar said that the panchayat of village Ballho has secured the first place in Punjab in three out of nine themes in the assessment of records for the year 2022-23. A total of 31 merit panchayats were verified by the Ministry of Rural Development.

It is worth mentioning that apart from Panchayat of Ballho from Punjab, sarpanches of Samgoli village of Mohali district, Faizulapur village of Fatehgarh Sahib and Sanghol, Riund Kalan village of Mansa also participated in this event. Panchayat of village Ballho has already received state level honor from Punjab government.
