Ather Energy has launched the Eight70TM Warranty Program for the batteries of all electric scooters in its portfolio. Customers taking Pro membership will get the benefit of this scheme. For this you will have to spend Rs 4,999.

Under this membership, customers purchasing Ather electric scooter will get a warranty of 8 years or 80,000 kilometers for the battery. Company CEO Tarun Mehta has given this information by sharing a post on social media platform X.

Battery durability important factor for buyers On this occasion, the company’s Chief Business Officer Ravneet Singh Pokhela said that battery durability is a very important factor for EV buyers. That’s why we have brought Eight70TM Warranty for the customers. It claims 70% battery health insurance for 8 years.

  • 70% battery health insurance
  • Full coverage of manufacturing defects and failures
  • No upper limit on claim amounts
  • If the battery health remains below 70% during the warranty period or the cells become dead due to non-charging for a long time, the battery pack will be replaced.

272 tests of Ather battery were done The batteries used by Ather have undergone 272 tests. This includes temperature testing, mechanical drop testing and extreme vibration testing. Ather’s in-built battery management system is connected to all the cells of the battery pack and continuously measures their voltage and current.

Will not get benefit in case of theft or accident The company has excluded customer negligence, modifications made to the battery, removal or alteration of VIN and BIN, theft, accident, misuse, flood and fire etc. in the Eight70TM warranty program, that is, all these are not covered. Apart from this, natural wear and tear or any physical damage to the battery has also been excluded from the scheme. This scheme will start from the date of challan of the vehicle.
