Accused Manjinder Singh and Kaka Singh are in the custody of police.
Bathinda Police arrested 5 drug smugglers from different places. Narcotic pills and illicit liquor have been recovered from them. A case has been registered against the arrested accused in the respective police stations under the Anti-Drug Addiction Act and action has been initiated.

According to Sub Inspector Gurpreet Singh of CIA Staff 2, he was patrolling in village Balahar Binjhu with the police team. During this, on the basis of suspicion, accused Manjinder Singh, resident of village Mahima Bhagwana was stopped and searched, and 500 drug pills were recovered from him. The accused was arrested from the spot and a case was registered under NDPS Act in Nehianwala police station.
Police had received secret information Similarly, Havildar Navdeep Rai of Police Station City Rampura, on the basis of secret information, conducted a raid in village Lehra Dhurkot and arrested accused Gurvinder Singh along with 50 liters of Lahan, 2 liters of illegal liquor, furnace and gas cylinder.
On the basis of secret information, Sub Inspector Randhir Singh of Rama police station also conducted a raid in village Bangi Ruldoo and arrested the accused Kaka Singh, resident of village Sahib Chand district Sri Muktsar Sahib along with 400 liters of Lahan. Apart from this, Sub Inspector Jaswinder Singh of Police Station Sangat has arrested the accused Raj Singh and Jagtar Singh, resident of village Malwala, who were traveling in Haryana number car during the blockade in village Pakka Kalan and registered a case along with 24 bottles of Haryana Marka liquor.
