In Bathinda late evening today, a bike rider shot a retired ASI, resulting in his death. The incident took place in front of DD Mittal Tower on Multania Road. SP City Narinder Singh said that retired ASI Om Prakash had come to collect milk from home, during which a young man riding a bike

Police said that the youth who carried out the incident fled from the spot and when retired ASI Om Prakash was taken to Bathinda government hospital for treatment, he died during treatment. Investigation has been started into the incident and different teams have been formed and the youth who carried out this incident will be arrested soon.

Dr. Sahil Gupta, posted in the government hospital, said that a person was brought to him, who had died due to deep wounds on his chest and back. At present the police is investigating the matter.
