Doctor treating injured Manpreet Singh.
A student was kidnapped today outside a private college in Bathinda. Then he was taken to a deserted place and attacked with sharp weapons and seriously injured him. Injured 21-year-old Manpreet Singh had gone to college today to appear for his BA paper.

Some youths picked him up outside the college and attacked his legs and arms with sharp weapons. Due to which one of his legs was broken. Lakhwinder Singh, father of the victim Manpreet Singh, said that today his son had gone from village Malan in a car to the DAV College of Bathinda to give his BA paper. Paper one was over and the second paper was to be given.
When he came out of college, about half a dozen young men took him to a secluded place and the boys who took him talked to me on phone and said, Bapu ji, we don’t say anything, then his phone was not found.
After this, the employees of the organization picked him up from 400 block of Bathinda Mansa Road, the youth threw him and ran away. Doctor Harshit Goyal of Civil Hospital said that this boy came to us with injuries at many places on his body and at present we are treating him and have informed the police.
